Beta version of OmicABEL released

The OmicABEL (pronounced as "amicable") package allows rapid mixed-model based genome-wide association analysis, especially for multiple traits ("omics" data).

The package is the result of a collaboration between Diego Fabregat and Paolo Bientinesi from RWTH Aachen and Yurii Aulchenko. It is designed for both single-trait and multiple-trait analysis, and is significantly faster than other competing packages, especially for the multiple-traits (omics) GWAS.

We anticipate that the package will be widely used for the analysis of large omics (transcriptomics, menatbolomics, glycomics, etc.) data sets. We invite test users to try the software and provide feedback. Thank you.
