GenABEL is mentioned in FAO guidelines

The GenABEL suite, while originally designed for the analysis of human genomic data, is also widely used for analysis of animal and plant data.

We made and still make a lot of efforts to keep GenABEL as widely usable as possible. Therefore it was great to see that GenABEL was listed as a "Software for managing large SNP datasets" in FAO ANIMAL PRODUCTION AND HEALTH "Molecular genetic characterization of animal genetic resources" guidelines (see Appendix 6).
